If you notice any inconsistent areas gently wipe off the excess solution using a wet towel. Be sure to pay close attention to your ankles, elbows, knees, knuckles and those ridges around your fingernails and toenails. • Pumice stone is very abrasive and if you’re not careful, it will most likely take off your skin as well as the spray tan. It is recommended that you only use it for places like that feet and palms where your skin is a little bit harder.

  • Hydrogen peroxide or a body scrub is the best option for deeper stains but if you overdo it, you may remove too much colour and thus end up with light patches instead of just removing the dark ones.

  • Foundation and concealer doesn’t remove spray tans, but it’s a great way for you to look presentable if all else fails. Camouflage those dark patches for a week till the spray tan is removed completely for the easiest bandage solution.

  • Take a long hot soapy bath and then just scrub off the spray tan, combining this with a good exfoliating glove for the best results. Remember that the quality of your exfoliating glove will determine how much spray tan will be removed.

  • Use baby oil and baking soda. Apply baby oil and let it soak into the topmost layer of your skin before scrubbing the treated area with a bath mitt. You may also mix baby oil and baking soda into a paste, apply it to the skin and then scrub to remove spray tan.
